So...this guy carrying around the raw Turkey? Yeah, he's an Armenian fellow one of my Armenian friends captured on his camera phone. He was one of the eight or so people protesting outside of the Turkish Embassy on April 24, the day most Armenians have chosen to commemorate the genocide committed against them by the Turkish government (who continues to deny it)in 1915.

Below is a photo that same friend took of me (the blonder redhead) and our other friends climbing through brush on our return trip from exploring the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, 2005. We were taking a "short cut". This is right before I fell and thoroughly injured myself. It was dirty. Probably about as gross as that turkey the man is waving in the Washington air. Anyone else wondering what exactly his hand is holding on to or how he got that idea in the first place? Ew.

So I'm going to go protest Turkey's position on the genocide. Dude, I should carry a REAL dead turkey. Yeah. That will be awesome....
